These changes can either keep building up or they could happen all at once after a set amount of time/turns (or something in between, with the enemy getting stronger at regular intervals). Magic using enemies who need to build up enough Mana Points (by recovering them, or absorbing them from the player with an attack) before they can cast their spells are a specific variant. Using a highly damaging attack which takes a few turns of prep (this type of enemy often runs away after doing so). ![]()
